Hey everyone! I will be able to do a couple half-day hikes in Yellowstone this summer (early August) and am looking for some suggestions. The first day we will be traveling from Glacier to Grant Village, so we will have about 3-4 hours to take a hike. We will likely be entering from the West Entrance of the park because in 2006 we exited through the North Entrance and because my brother has never been to the Big Sky area, which I think is beautiful! The next day we will be traveling to Grand Teton and would like to spend half of the day in each park, so again a 3-4 hour hike would be good.

Some hikes I've looked at and considered include Fairy Falls (to get good views of Grand Prismatic Spring), Shoshone Lake (via DeLacy Creek), Elephant Back Mountain, and Avalanche Peak. I also understand Mount Washburn is an excellent choice, but I don't think we'll be going to that area of the park this time.

Do any of you have any suggestions concerning any of these hikes and/or some photos? I would greatly appreciate any information!

Thanks,

Sean
