Uh, I as sume you mean you slowed down below 45, the speed limit in the park. Suppose you were going 65 and came around a curve to find a bull bison standing in the road? Broken windshield? 'Nuf said.
Yes, I've seen conditions which brought hundreds of birds onto the roads, but generally in late May or early June after a surprise cold-snap with snow. The ravens had a wonderful time feasting on the little robin carca sses.
