Yellowstone National Park officials announced today that road construction between Canyon Village to the Chittenden Road on Dunraven Pass is scheduled to begin on September 8, 2003. The road will close at 8:00 am on September 08, and will remain closed for the rest of this season and all of summer 2004. The road from south of Tower Junction to Chittenden Road will remain open during this construction.
Several other road construction projects are scheduled and have been on-going throughout the park. Visitors should be prepared for delays and closures. Road construction projects and schedules are listed below.
Madison Junction to Norris Junction :
Road construction on this section of road has been completed. There should be no further delays this season.
Canyon Junction to Fishing Bridge Junction (Hayden Valley):
There will be some minor delays due to road construction activities this fall.
